About the Concert
Brush off the ordinary and let pianist Steven Glaser take you away with some of the most enchanting pieces ever written for the piano. From the romantic whispers of Chopin to the powerful refrains of Liszt, each note promises to stir the soul and ignite the imagination.
“....Glaser made every note fall into an interpretive hierarchy, so that every note he played worked for the music....it was impressively musical. Glaser’s reading of the Mephisto Waltz took him into the score, and into the keys, most convincingly...He is off and playing well in Columbus.”
Barbara Zuck, Senior Music Critic, Columbus Dispatch
“.....brilliant piano tone, technical command and virtuosic, large scaled interpretations...”
Tim Page, The New York Times
“....a reason many music lovers keep going back to the concert hall. (He) set the keyboard on fire...technique to burn...an artist in complete control of his art and technique. “
