About the Tour

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 14th, and immerse yourself in the rich history and breathtaking architecture of Columbus’ most iconic churches. Starting at 11 am, embark on an unforgettable journey through time and artistry as Columbus LandMarks presents the 2024 Hallelujah Grand Tour of Churches.

Experience the joy of seasonal music at each church, introduced by WOSU Classical 101 host Christopher Purdy. Delve into the rich architectural history of each sacred site with Columbus LandMarks Foundation experts, gaining insights into how these churches cater to their dynamic congregations and the surrounding community while preserving some of Columbus’ most cherished and challenging architectural treasures.

We are thrilled to announce that ProArteOhio (formerly Lancaster Chorale) will join us for a choral performance that promises to be a standout moment of the tour. St. Mary’s own Orlay Alonso, will join us again this year featuring the majestic Schuelke Organ at St. Mary.

Columbus, blessed with an array of historically and architecturally significant churches, showcases some of the finest examples of craftsmanship and ecclesiastical design. This festive tour takes you on an all-day exploration of our historic German Village and downtown churches, each stop enriched with musical performances and insightful presentations by local historians, congregation leadership, and preservationists.

Take advantage of our discount tickets for Columbus LandMarks Foundation members and members of the five participating churches, available at $20. Non-member tickets are priced at $30. Proceeds from the tour will contribute to the continued work of all participating organizations.
